Hallooooo,
Hope all well!
A busy week has given way to the extended Carnaval weekend - the first of its kind since before the pandemic - which still involved plenty of work for muggins here, only set against a backdrop of people going absolutely wild in the pouring rain, which rather concerningly seems to have wiped the north coast of São Paulo off the map.
I've never really got involved in the festivities before, so no sense of FOMO here, but it's nice to see everyone who isn't literally underwater having a lovely time for a change. Plus we took advantage of the long weekend to get out of town for a nice lunch in Campinas and a swim in the in-laws pool, which is always welcome.
In other news my first collaboration with a funny internet woman came out on Thursday to great acclaim, I've made another compilation, and my phrase of the day is a surprisingly deep rumination on the equality of all in the eyes of the law: "the stick that hits Chico also hits Francisco", where "Chico" is a lowly nobody and Francisco is a valued member of society, but "Chico" is also the diminutive version of "Francisco", so in a stunning twist it turns out we're, like, all the same, maaan.
Something to think about anyway! Speak soon,
One Nation Under Frod
