Halloooo,
It's been a busy old week here, as Sherlock flew in its employees from all over Latin America for a week of crowded coworking, sightseeing and general debauchery. I mostly stayed out of it but went in on Tuesday and Wednesday to rehearse some covers with the Sherlock house band, and then played a set at the staff party on Friday, which garnered rave reviews. There's some footage here, although it might be available to employees only...
The party itself was fun but almost comically drawn out, starting with a lecture on cryptocurrencies at 11am for some reason, followed by lunch, nibbles, dinner, drinks, our concert, and finally a jig to local hits on the dancefloor. Saturday brought little respite, with a birthday party at a craft brewery, and on Sunday Gaby recorded more of her course while I got some work done and took in a moving picture (The Banshees of Inisherin - recommended!) at the nearby shopping centre.
In the midst of all that I brokered a collaboration with another up-and-coming Instagram comic which should be published some time this week; made not one but two new compilations; and came across a new saying ("lima nova" or "new wood file") which refers to someone who is new on the job and doesn't really know what they're doing, but means well.
Speak soon! xx
