Hope all well. We had a long weekend here in Brazil - including Children's Day on Monday - and mainly spent it flopping about at home, although we managed a trip up into the mountains for a nice lunch on the Saturday. All in all, compelling evidence for a permanent three-day weekend: one day for relaxing, one for going out and seeing people, and a third day for getting one's life in order.
I've made a new
compilation, and my phrase of the week comes from a sign I saw at Sunday's Avenida Paulista pro-Lula march - "in the land of the leopard, no one raises eagles". A timely rebuke to the influence of the US government, plus it reminds me of
one my favourite movie lines.
