24.12.24: Borocoxô

Hallooooo,

Hope all well, and might I add, Merry Christmas! We are officially on holiday, but not before signing the contract for our new house, which is exciting!

We're hosting the traditional Christmas Eve bash this year, so we've been running around all weekend and are off to Indaiatuba this morning to pick up Adny and Ridaut. Then off to the beach on Monday.

In other news, I've made a bit of an odds 'n sods compilation from the past year, and my phrase of the week is a north Brazilian slang for "down in the dumps", which is fun to say despite its downer of a meaning.

And that's about it - speak soon!

17.12.24 - Dar o braço a torcer

Halloooo,

Hope all well, as we wind down for Christmas... We're closing in on our new house, in a flurry of paperwork and building work prep, but still found time for a Xmas party at Seth's with some fellow gringofluencers, which was rather fun. And Sherlock had not one but two end-of-year do's as well.

In other news, I've made another compilation, plus an extra all-Brazilian mix for Instagram, and my phrase of the day means "to give one's arm to twist", which means to (reluctantly) admit the error of one's own viewpoint. And that's about it for now - roll on the Xmas break!

Speak soon,

10.12.24 - Baixar a bola

Hallooooo,

Hope all well. Last Tuesday Gaby had her ballet recital which was good clean healthy fun, and on Sunday we went to Bruna's house in Aldeia for the traditional festive season curtain raiser, which involved copious decorations and a huge pan of chicken and potatoes.

In between we went to visit about 7 different flats in three separate tropical storms, because we've decided to buy a flat. All this against a backdrop of the busiest week of work this year, and our fridge breaking down. Suffice to say, the holidays cannot come soon enough!

In other news, I"ve made a new compilation, and my phrase of the day means "to lower the ball", or to tone it down a bit, either in terms of activity or attitude. Here's hoping!

Speak soon,

03.12.24 - Dar uma guinada

Hallooooo,

Hope all well.

Work's been pretty hectic recently, and we've been stepping up the househunting too, but we also found time to go bowling at the weekend and check out some cool new bars nearby, plus there have been some promising developments with my influencer alter-ego...

In other news I've made another compilation, and my phrase of the day, "dar uma guinada", means to pivot drastically to a new topic or attitude (from the motoring term for spinning the steering wheel, I believe).

And that's all for now - speak soon!
